Tuesday's Rangers-Red Sox lineups: No Adrian Beltre

Rangers manager Ron Washington said that he wanted to give Adrian Beltre one more day to rest his strained left hamstring before putting into the Rangers' lineup, which didn't sit too well with Beltre. He lobbied, but didn't talk his way into the lineup for the opener at Fenway Park. Beltre will likely play the next two days against the Red Sox and will DH on the turf at Toronto. Washington will have to find a way to get Lance Berkman games against the Blue Jays and might give him a start at first base.

Rangers lineup vs. RHP Ryan Dempster: Elvis Andrus, ss; David Murphy, lf; Lance Berkman, dh; Nelson Cruz, rf; Mitch Moreland, 1b; A.J. Pierzynski, c; Jeff Baker, 3b; Jurickson Profar, 2b; Leonys Martin, cf.

Red Sox lineup vs. RHP Justin Grimm: Daniel Nava, rf; Mike Carp, lf; Dustin Pedroia, 2b; David Ortiz, dh; Mike Napoli, 1b; Jarrod Saltalamacchia, c; Stephen Drew, ss; Jose Iglesias, 3b; Jackie Bradley Jr., cf.
