Thursday's Yankees-Rangers lineups: Elvis Andrus second again

The fact that Elvis Andrus is hitting second Thursday in the series finale against New York has more significance than when he did it Wednesday. That was against a left-hander, which manager Ron Washington said was going to be Andrus' spot against port-siders. But his start in the No. 2 hole Thursday is against Hiroki Kuroda, a right-hander. Washington had said that he wasn't going to use Andrus against righties in the No. 2 hole until he felt the shortstop had found a comfort level.

Yankees lineup vs. LHP Derek Holland: Ichiro Suzuki, rf; Brent Lillibridge, 3b; Robinson Cano, dh; Vernon Wells, lf; Eduardo Nunez, ss; David Adams, 2b; Lyle Overbay, 1b; Melky Mesa, cf; Austin Romine, c.

Rangers lineup vs. RHP Hiroki Kuroda: Ian Kinsler, 2b; Elvis Andrus, dh; Nelson Cruz, rf; Adrian Beltre, 3b; A.J. Pierzynski, c; Mitch Moreland, 1b; Jurickson Profar, ss; David Murphy, lf; Leonys Martin, cf.
