Jurickson Profar said he is confident in his ability to play leftfield, as he will be making his outfield debut tonight. Profar has spent the past couple of weeks working Gary Pettis on reading balls and throwing to bases.

Pettis tried to minimize the significance of it, saying he can't judge until he sees Profar play in an actual game.

"Let's not make it a big deal about Profar," Pettis said. "We got other outfielders, too."

With Profar starting in left and David Murphy on the bench, Elvis Andrus is back in the two-hole after two games in the eight game.
