Tonight's Rangers-Mariners lineups: Elvis Andrus batting eighth

Elvis Andrus is batting .195 over his last 39 games, and manager Ron Washington felt it was time to slide his everyday shortstop down in the order.

Andrus was moved to the eighth spot, a move he welcomed as it could take less pressure of him from his normal two-hole spot. The last time Andrus didn't lead off or bat second was on April 17, 2010.

David Murphy, who had two hits Wednesday, is batting second.
