Friday's Rangers-A's lineups: A start for Jeff Baker

A left-hander is pitching Friday night for Oakland in the opener of a three-game series against the Rangers, so the right-handed-hitting Jeff Baker will start at first base in place of the left-handed-hitting Mitch Moreland. David Murphy, another lefty hitter, also sits as Craig Gentry, a righty bat, hops in the lineup in center field. That pushes Leonys Martin to left field.

Rangers lineup vs. LHP Tommy Milone: Leonys Martin, lf; Elvis Andrus, ss; Ian Kinsler, 2b; Adrian Beltre, 3b; A.J. Pierzynski, c; Nelson Cruz, rf; Jeff Baker, 1b; Craig Gentry, cf; Jurickson Profar, dh.

A's lineup vs. RHP Alexi Ogando: Coco Crisp, cf; Eric Sogard, 2b; Jed Lowrie, ss; Yoenis Cespedes, lf; Brandon Moss, 1b; Josh Donaldson, 3b; Josh Reddick, rf; Seth Smith, dh; Derek Norris, c.
