Adam Rosales is back with the Texas Rangers, as he continues to go back-and-forth between the Rangers and Athletics.
Rosales, a utility infielder, is expected to join the team on Tuesday in Arlington when another move will be made to clear a spot for him. Rosales was with the team for three days earlier this month but didn't play. The Rangers claimed him off waivers Aug. 2, and optioned outfielder Engel Beltre to Triple A Round Rock.
The Rangers then designated Rosales for assignment on Aug. 5 when they recalled Beltre and purchased the contract of Joey Butler on the day Nelson Cruz accepted a 50-game suspension.
"Adam is a quality big league infielder," general manager Jon Daniels said. "We've always liked the way he goes about teh game, and the energy he brings. As our circumstances have changed over the past week or so, it changed our ability to carry him. We're glad to get a second chance at it."
