Labor Day Rangers-A's lineups: As expected, Elvis Andrus (back) out

Shortstop Elvis Andrus said that his lower back is starting to show signs of improvement, but it's still too tight for him to play Monday. That was the plan after Sunday's game, and it seems that Andrus could also miss a few more games. The Rangers don't want to rush him back.

So, Jurickson Profar is the shortstop and No. 2 hitter for a second straight game. His rushed throw in the fifth inning and a missed chance with a runner at third and one out in the third were big plays in the Rangers' 4-2 loss to Minnesota.

Lance Berkman is also in the lineup at designated hitter, his first game since July 6.

Rangers lineup vs. RHP Dan Straily: Leonys Martin, cf; Jurickson Profar, ss; Ian Kinsler, 2b; Adrian Beltre, 3b; A.J. Pierzynski, c; Alex Rios, rf; Mitch Moreland, 1b; Lance Berkman, dh; David Murphy, lf.

A's lineup vs. LHP Derek Holland: Coco Crisp, cf; Josh Donaldson, 3b; Jed Lowrie, ss; Yoenis Cespedes, lf; Nate Freiman, 1b; Alberto Callaspo, 2b; Chris Young, rf; Kurt Suzuki, c; Michael Choice, dh.
