Monday's Rangers-Rays lineups: Lance Berkman at designated hitter

Tampa Bay hasn't scratched its right-handed starting pitcher for a lefty, so Lance Berkman is in the lineup Monday as the Rangers' designated hitter. Manager Ron Washington said that he has seen enough from Berkman to be convinced that the veteran will provide a quality at-bat and has the ability to get a base hit. Berkman, though, might not be able to drive balls the way he has in the past. It this be Berkman's first start since Sept. 3.

Rangers lineup vs. RHP Alex Cobb: Ian Kinsler, 2b; Elvis Andrus, ss; Alex Rios, rf; Adrian Beltre, 3b; A.J. Pierzynski, c; Lance Berkman, dh; Jim Adduci, lf; Mitch Moreland, 1b; Leonys Martin, cf.

Rays lineup vs. RHP Matt Garza: David DeJesus, lf; Ben Zobrist, 2b; James Loney, 1b; Evan Longoria, 3b; Wil Myers, rf; Matt Joyce, dh; Desmond Jennings, cf; Jose Molina, c; Yunel Escobar, ss.
