With the threat of inclement weather, the Texas Rangers have moved Saturday's game up to 11:05 a.m. First pitch was originally scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
The game will be televised with plans to be announced later today.
The latest weather forecast for Saturday calls for moderate showers and thundershowers to move into Dallas-Fort Worth area by early afternoon and to increase in intensity throughout the day.
Tickets for the 7:05 p.m. game on Saturday will be good only for admission to the 11:05 a.m. contest Saturday. The Rangers Ballpark parking lots will open at 9 a.m. with the Ballpark gates opening at 9:30 a.m.
“With the possibility of heavy rain affecting Saturday night’s game, we feel it is prudent to start earlier in the day,” Rangers CEO Nolan Ryan said in a statement. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for our fans, but we believe this is the best alternative given the circumstances and the fact it is the last weekend of the regular season.”
