Thursday's Angels-Rangers lineups: David Murphy's turn to DH

A right-hander is pitching for the Angels on Thursday to open a four-game season-ending series, so the left-handed-hitting David Murphy will be the Rangers' designated hitter a day after the righty-hitting Jeff Baker started against Astros lefty Dallas Keuchel. It's not necessarily just a left-right thing with Murphy, who is 5 for 16 (.313)  in his career against Jerome Williams. But that pales in comparison to Adrian Beltre (.417, 10 for 24, 2 HR) against Williams.

Angels lineup vs. RHP Matt Garza: J.B. Shuck, lf; Erick Aybar, ss; Mike Trout, cf; Josh Hamilton, dh; Howie Kendrick, 2b; Kole Calhoun, rf; Mark Trumbo, 1b; Chris Iannetta, c; Andrew Romine, 3b.

Rangers lineup vs. RHP Jerome Williams: Ian Kinsler, 2b; Elvis Andrus, ss; Alex Rios, rf; Adrian Beltre, 3b; A.J. Pierzynski, c; Mitch Moreland, 1b; Craig Gentry, lf; David Murphy, dh; Leonys Martin, cf.
