Thursday's Rangers-Rays lineups: Mitch Moreland to face a lefty

A groin injury to Jeff Baker has further limited the choices manager Ron Washington has for the Rangers' lineup against a left-handed pitcher, so he picked the left-handed-hitting Mitch Moreland to play first base and face Matt Moore on Thursday. Baker, a righty hitter, is the designated hitter, but his injury is limiting him in the field. A.J. Pierzynski has a bruise on his left hand, suffered Tuesday, and gets the day off Thursday as well.

Rangers lineup vs. LHP Matt Moore: Ian Kinsler, 2b; Elvis Andrus, ss; Alex Rios, rf; Adrian Beltre, 3b; Jeff Baker, dh; Geovany Soto, c; Craig Gentry, cf; Joey Butler, lf; Mitch Moreland, 1b.

Rays lineup vs. RHP Yu Darvish: David DeJesus, lf; Ben Zobrist, 2b; Matt Joyce, rf; Evan Longoria, dh; James Loney, 1b; Kelly Johnson, 3b; Desmond Jennings, cf; Jose Lobaton, c; Yunel Escobar, ss.
