Johnson Wagner, winner of the 2008 Houston Open, just bagged his third consecutive birdie on the back nine _ the seventh of his round _ on the 13th hole to move to 5-under par and take the lead during today's early stages of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
Wagner is one stroke ahead of Dudley Hart, who stands at 4-under through 17 holes with the noon hour fast approaching. Hart's caddie for today's round is Buffalo Sabres coach Lindy Ruff.
Mark Brooks, a Fort Worth resident playing on a sponsor's exemption, is 3-under through 12 holes of his opening round.
