The First Tee of Fort Worth is holding a presentation Thursday night (Jan. 22) to boost fund-raising efforts to complete the Ben Hogan Learning Center. The center, located at Rockwood Golf Course, will benefit junior golfers from financially disadvantaged families.
The presentation begins at 7 p.m. at the Pan American Golf Association of Fort Worth, which is located at 2131 N. Commerce St. In addition to an update on the Ben Hogan Learning Center, part of the program will focus on the New Links St. Andrews program. That initiative provides young people from the United States an opportunity to visit St. Andrews, Scotland -- the birthplace of golf -- and immerse themselves in the local culture, history and the game of golf.
