We're halfway through the Masters and all three Tarrant County residents in the field are among the top six golfers on the leaderboard.
Chad Campbell, a Colleyville resident, is at 9-under par through 36 holes and shares the lead with Kenny Perry, a two-time Colonial champ.
Todd Hamilton, a Westlake resident, is alone in fourth place -- three strokes off the pace -- at 6-under. Hamilton, the 2004 British Open champ, has opened with rounds of 68-70.
Rory Sabbatini, a Fort Worth resident, bounced back strongly in today's second round. Sabbatini posted a 67 to move to 4-under for the tournament and into a tie for sixth place. Sabbatini, the 2007 Colonial champ, was a Masters runner-up in 2007.
Sabbatini shares sixth place with a group of golfers that includes another D-FW golfer, Dallas resident Anthony Kim. Kim posted a second-round 65 to move to 4-under. He had one of the best second-round turnarounds (75-65) of any golfer in the Masters field.
