I'll say this about Steve Stricker: The guy is grateful for where he is. Stricker talked about some of his tough career moments and about how great the last four years have been. At the end of his post-victory press conference someone asked him about the exemption he received a few years back just to get into this Crowne Plaza Invitational. Now he's in for life. And that got Stricker choked up.
"I got that exemption when I needed it," said Stricker, who had to stop talking briefly to compose himself. "It's funny how things come back in a circle."
