Texas A&M golfer selected as Nelson Award finalist

Texas A&M golfer Matthew Van Zandt is among five finalists for the 2009 Byron Nelson Award, given to the top graduating senior in college golf. Other finalists announced today include Missouri’s Peter Malnati, South Dakota State’s Trent Peterson, Georgia Tech’s Cameron Tringale and Marquette’s Mike Van Sickle. The winner will be announced in conjunction with the 2009 NCAA Division I Championships.
