Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial officials have extended sponsor’s exemptions to Fort Worth resident Mark Brooks and PGA Tour rookie Rickie Fowler to compete in their 2010 tournament in Fort Worth.
Peter Ripa, Colonial tournament director, confirmed the exemptions today. Brooks, 48, has seven PGA Tour titles, including the 1996 PGA Championship. Fowler, winner of the 2008 Hogan Award, earned his 2010 tour card at last week’s qualifying tournament and is expected to make his season debut at the Sony Open in Hawaii, Jan. 14-17 in Honolulu.
Colonial’s competition dates are May 27-30, 2010.
