North Carolina State golfer Matt Hill, the defending NCAA champion, joins four players from Oklahoma State among 25 golfers on the watch list for the 2010 Ben Hogan Award.
The honor, presented annually in Fort Worth, is given to the nation’s top college golfer in conjunction with tournament week activities at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Award organizers released the watch list today, which includes six golfers from schools in Texas or within the Big 12.
Those six include Texas Tech’s Oscar Floren, SMU’s Kelly Kraft and the foursome from OSU: Morgan Hoffman, Kevin Tway, Peter Uihlein and Trent Whitekiller. Hoffman was a first-team All-American in 2009. Tway is the son of Champions Tour participant Bob Tway.
The list of semifinalists will be announced April 14, with the three finalists selected May 11. The winner will be announced in a live presentation on May 24 at Colonial.
