Corey Pavin, who began his second round 3-under, surged to 9-under and is currently tied for fourth at the Crowne Plaza Invitational. Pavin said last week at the Byron Nelson that he was looking to coming over to this side of the Metroplex because he's always done well here. Indeed, the 50-year-old won the Colonial titles in 1985 and 1996. He's also finished tied for 18th or better the last two tournaments and has missed the cut just three times in 27 appearances here.
Yeah, no wonder he was ready to get over here.
