When officials at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial announced today's extension with the title sponsor through 2015, it assured that Crowne Plaza will become the longest-tenured title sponsor of Fort Worth’s annual PGA Tour event. The event has been called has been called the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial since 2007 and today's extension guarantees at least a nine-year run with the hotel chain.
