Kuchar gives 2011 Nelson field its first Top 10 commitment

Matt Kuchar, the No. 9 player in the world golf rankings, joined Scott Verplank and Jamie Lovemark among the latest group of golfers who have committed to compete at the HP Byron Nelson Championship, tournament officials announced today. Kuchar becomes the highest-ranked golfer who has committed to compete at the Nelson, May 23-29 in Irving.

Lovemark, 23, is a PGA Tour rookie who led the 2010 Nationwide Tour money list. Verplank, a Dallas native, won the 2007 Nelson title.
