Matt Kuchar, the No. 9 player in the world golf rankings, joins 2008 Masters champ Trevor Immelman among the latest wave of commitments for competitors at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
The latest list, released today by tournament officials, also includes Jeff Overton, Webb Simpson, Scott Verplank and Jimmy Walker. Kuchar’s presence in the field for the May 16-22 event in Fort Worth gives Colonial commitments from three of the world’s top 12 golfers: Kuchar, No. 10 Steve Stricker and No. 12 Jim Furyk, winner of the 2010 FedEx Cup.
