Officials at The First Tee of Fort Worth hope to raise $70,000 for the non-profit organization during Monday’s golf marathon at Rockwood Golf Course. Competitors will begin at 7 a.m. (Monday, May 2) and play until dark, with each golfer raising money for the organization _ which promotes character development through golf _ on total holes finished or pre-determined amounts from sponsorship pledges. At the conclusion of play, three golfers will have one shot to try and make an ace at No. 9, a 165-yard par-3, to earn a $1 million payday that will be divided between The First Tee of Fort Worth and the golfer.
