Steve Polanski, a member of Ridglea Country Club in Fort Worth, fired a 2-under-par 69 in the final round to claim a one-stroke victory in the ESPN Golf Connection Tournament of Champions at The Old American Golf Club in The Colony.
Polanski posted a 36-hole total of 141 to finish a stroke ahead of Todd McGrew (142) of the Trophy Club and Paul Goering (142) of Dallas. Arlington’s Ted Waldrip (146) finished fourth, followed by Rowlett’s Jay Keeton (148).
