Fort Worth resident J.J. Killeen, a former TCU golfer, held on to his lead to claim the Nationwide Tour money title at the end of today’s season-ending event. Killeen finished with earnings of $414,273 to earn one of 25 full exemptions on the 2012 PGA Tour set aside for the top 25 finishers on the Nationwide Tour money list.
As the winner of the money title, Killeen’s exemption also comes with an invitation to The Players Championship in May, the PGA Tour’s highest-paying event on the 2012 calendar.
Martin Flores, a Dallas resident and former Mansfield High School golfer, finished 24th on the money list ($182,612) to earn his spot on the 2012 PGA Tour.
