Kyle Stanley and Hunter Mahan, two of the top seven players on the PGA Tour season money list, have joined the field for the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, tournament officials announced today.
The tournament will be May 21-27 at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth.
Stanley, 24, ranks second on the money list ($1,985,390), with a victory at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and a playoff loss at the Farmers Insurance Open. Mahan, a Colleyville resident, ranks seventh on the money list ($1,857,240), with a victory at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.
Mahan, the No. 14 player in the world rankings, is one of three golfers listed among the top 30 of the world rankings on the latest wave of Colonial commitments. The others are Matt Kuchar (No. 17) and Sang-Moon Bae (No. 28).
