John Daly and Angel Cabrera, a pair of two-time major champions, joined gallery favorite Rickie Fowler on today’s latest round of commitments for the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, tournament officials announced.
Daly, winner of the 1991 PGA and 1995 British Open, will be making his third consecutive appearance in Fort Worth on a sponsor’s exemption. Cabrera, winner of the 2007 U.S. Open and 2009 Masters, and Fowler, winner of the 2008 Ben Hogan Award, also will compete May 21-27 at Colonial Country Club. Fowler, 23, a former Oklahoma State golfer known for his colorful wardrobe, is ranked No. 45 in the world golf rankings.
