Through the years, 14 golfers have won both of Dallas-Fort Worth’s annual PGA Tour stops in their careers. But no golfer has done so when the events were played in consecutive weeks, which Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial leader Jason Dufner _ last week’s winner at the HP Byron Nelson Championship _ will seek to achieve this weekend.
Ben Hogan won both events in 1946, but they were not played in consecutive weeks. The list of players with D-FW double-dips in their careers:

Note: In 1946, Ben Hogan became the only golfer to win both D-FW events in the same season. He won the 1946 Colonial in May and the 1946 Dallas Invitational (later renamed the Nelson) in September. The Dallas event has had multiple names but has been named for Byron Nelson since 1968.
