Two notable amateur golfers from Fort Worth, John Grace and Mina Hardin, are among the nominees for the 2012 class of inductees at the Texas Golf Hall of Fame. A total of 41 individuals, as well as five historic courses, are on this year’s list of nominees in six different categories.
Grace is the only golfer to complete a career sweep of the Texas Golf Association’s primary individual titles: the Texas Amateur, Mid-Amateur and Senior Amateur. Hardin won the 2010 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur. Both are nominees in the amateur category.
Nominees in the tour professional category include Justin Leonard, Bruce Devlin, D.A. Weibring and Rives McBee. Westlake resident Hank Haney, former instructor of Tiger Woods, is a nominee in the club professional category.
The 2012 class will be announced later this summer.
