Angela Stanford, a Saginaw resident and LPGA Tour competitor, will be one of the competitors in the May 23 pro-am at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, tournament officials announced today. Also competing in the pro-am that day will be Manuel de los Santos, a former baseball star in the Dominican Republic whose dreams of playing Major League Baseball ended when he lost his left leg in a 2003 motorcycle accident. But he took up golf after losing his leg and now plays to a 3-handicap.
