Nick Watney, the No. 25 player in the world golf rankings, has joined the field for the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, May 21-27 in Fort Worth. Watney, 31, ranks 77th on the PGA Tour’s season money list, with $500,335 in 10 starts.
Other additions to the field announced today include Ken Duke, Andres Romero and Bud Cauley, a candidate for 2012 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. Cauley, 22, was finalist for the 2010 Ben Hogan Award, given to the top player in college golf. Cauley rankes 43rd on the season money list ($756,922), with two top-10 finishes this season, including a tie for fourth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on March 25.
