Rory McIlroy, the world’s top-ranked golfer, announced today he has signed a multi-year agreement with Nike Golf to use the company’s equipment and will make his debut as a Nike golfer at this week’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship on the European Tour. McIlroy, 23, will use the company’s clubs, ball, footwear and glove while competing and will wear the company logo on his apparel. McIlroy also has cut a humorous commercial with longtime Nike endorser Tiger Woods, the No. 3 player in the world rankings, that will begin airing Wednesday on ESPN and The Golf Channel.
