Mansfield golfer Smith captures DFW Tournament of Champions title

Rachel Smith of Walnut Creek Country Club in Mansfield captured today’s women’s championship at the ezLocator DFW Tournament of Champions at Golf Club of Dallas.  Smith posted a final-round 80 in blustery conditions to post a 155 total and finish seven stroke ahead of Brooke Nolte of Hurricane Creek. It marked Smith’s second consecutive victory in the event.

In other divisions, Chris James of Stonebridge Ranch Country Club braved captured the men’s title and Joel Eastman of Dallas Country Club earned the title in the newly-created senior men’s division.
