The NFL draft should be a high point for a football player's career. An NFL team wants to pay you to play football for their franchise.
But in the case of TCU QB Andy Dalton this is not a good day. The Bengals took the affable and solid Dalton with the 35th pick in the NFL draft. So sad. Even with current Bengals QB Carson Palmer promising to retire if the Bengals don't dump him poor Dalton could not have gone to a worse place. And I say that having been born in Cincy, and raised a Bengals fan until I wised up.
What Dalton needs to hope is that Palmer stays around until Bengals owner Mike Brown gives up control of the team. Every Bengals fan knows the following: Until Brown retires or passes on, this franchise will remain the very worst in the NFL. And that includes the Raiders.
Andy, you deserved a better fate than this.
