IRVING - Even before Felix Jones injured his shoulder in San Francisco the Cowboys' offense wasn't exactly the Detroit Lions with Barry Sanders. The Cowboys are averaging 2.3 yards per carry, good for 32nd in the 32-team NFL.
Felix leads the team with 69 yards on 26 attempts (2.7 yards per carry).
Rookie DeMarco Murray has 21 yards on 8 carries (2.6 yards per carry).
And Tashard Choice has 9 yards on 8 carries (1.1 yards per carry).
As a result, the Cowboys' 79 pass attempts is the second-most in the NFL.
How are they going to run it better than this?
"I don't know," Choice said. "All I know is we gotta find a way. It's been tough on Felix. Now it's on DeMarco and me. We've just been missing it a little bit."

Reminds of the quote by basketball coaching great Abe Lemons after a player had scored just one point. "Congratulations. You just scored one more point than a dead man."
That would be our rushing game...

The cow fans will just have to hope that the GREATEST GM/HC in any sports will just to have to come up with a plan to bring the running game up to Emmit days.
