Whatever Turner Gill drinks, I want a truck load of it. This guy has created a unique niche of losing college football games, and keeps getting a check to do it.
The former Fort Worth Arlington Heights' star is now 25-49 in his career as a college football coach, and is back to work.
Gill, who was fired by Kansas a few weeks ago after two seasons in Lawrence, has a new gig - this time at Liberty University in Virginia. Liberty is in the FCS division, and finished 7-4 last season in the Big South.
The would be the best year Gill has ever had as a head coach. Here is his career head coaching resume:
2006: Buffalo, 2-10
2007: Buffalo, 5-7
2008: Buffalo, 8-6
2009: Buffalo, 5-7
2010: Kansas, 3-9
2011: Kansas, 2-10
To be fair, both of these jobs are two of the toughest in Division I college football. But if my math is right, he's had one winning record in six seasons. That's what we call a trend.
