7 year old's letter to the 49ers Kyle Williams shows we're not all scum

2012-01-26-photo2Kyle Williams of the SF 49ers has been receiving death threats for his pair of punt return fumbles in the NFC title game against the NY Giants. Death threats. Over a football game.

Some pathetic soul Tweeted the following: "@KyleWilliams_10. I hope you, youre wife, kids and family die, you deserve it"

Moving on ... a 7 year old kid named Owen Shure is a massive 49ers fan, and understandably crushed when his team lost. But he did manage to write Kyle Williams this letter that appears on the Huffington Post.

The letter reads:

"Dear Mr. Williams:
We just watched the Playoff game. I feel really bad for you but I wanted to tell you that you had a great season. you sould be very proud, so I wanted to say thank you.

I am your #1 FAN!

Owen Shure
Los Angeles, CA

p.s. your awsome"

Leave it to a kid to offer some perspective.

It's good to know that our children are smarter than we are as adults. Young Mr. Shure's parents should be very proud of him.

Charlie W.

Ive followed the home town team for years. The campus is beautiful. The games aren't crazy exspensive or far from the house. I like this team but I feel like we could be doing a little bit better. The season still has a long way to go but I'm hopeful.

Thanks for covering our team! Go Frogs!
