Had to pour over the proof sheets all day to decide who wins The Big Mac Blog Best & Worst Dressed from the 2012 Golden Globes.
The winner is ... Reese Witherspoon. This dress was made by some guy who goes by one name and designed it out baby seal that was hand crafted and stitched by a crew of kids who were paid pennies. Seriously, she makes this dress look so good I would be tempted to wear it.
The loser is ... Tilda Swinton. My uncle, John Manno, posed this question about the actress, "Ever notice that Tilda Swinton and David Bowie are never in the same place at the same time?"

Why is there more focus on the actors and host than on the movies themselves? The Golden Globes are a bit out of touch with what really entertains audiences and makes a successful film. 2011 was a great year for movies but all the wrong ones get the attention… movies like Margin Call, Ironclad and even Girl with the Dragon Tattoo are snubbed by the awards. Kids I’ve come to the conclusion that by now most seasoned starlets are fully cognizant of what it is that they are doing. It’s one of two things- to get us to love them or conversely get us to hate them. There is no in between. Anything in between is death. You can never ever be ignored as a Hollywood celebrity. It says there loud and clear on every actresses SAG/AFTRA card; ‘From this day forward I promise to either offend or seduce my fans, either of which must earn me lots of adulation, respect, three back to back People Magazine covers and a treasure trove of money. ‘
