The end of the world is coming: Top recruit picks Missouri over Texas

UnknownI hate National Signing Day, but this even is worth commenting on: the top high school player in the nation, whatever that means, has made his decision ... at least until he changes it and transfers.

Dorial Green-Beckham of Springfield, Missouri is going to the University of Missouri.

Let that sink in: The top recruit in the nation wants to go to Missouri to play football. (Someone check that kid's bank account.)

What the what??!! This is just another piece of evidence that our society is going to the dogs.

DGB is the top ranked WR in the nation, and selected Missouri over Arkansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas, the Indianapolis Colts, the Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Kings.

According to The Google machine, DGB is a 6-foot-6, 225-pound WR who runs a 2.4 40-time, can jump over five-story buildings and is known to catch footballs with his toes. One time, he played this one game, where he caught 24 passes and scored 32 touchdowns.

Hyperbole aside, this is a major coup for MU and just what this program needs as it goes to the SEC. DGB should do a lot to keep the Tigers down by 20 rather than 28.

Be afraid. This kid can play.

Don't hate the player. Hate the game.

This kid can ball up. I agree with you, National Signing Day is worthless. Who knows how these kids will pan out. But this guy's initials should be NFL. He can flat out play.
