I'm not a big TMZ.com fan, but this caught my eye: former NFL star linebacker Junior Seau is dead; it's reportedly a suicide. This happened this morning at his home in San Diego.
In his prime, Seau was one of the best linebackers and defenders in the NFL and helped lead the San Diego Chargers to the Super Bowl in 1995. He played for the Chargers from '90 to '02; the Dolphins from '03 to '05; the Patriots from '05 to '09.
Seau was the fifth overall pick of the Chargers in the 1990 NFL draft. This is the same draft that the Dallas Cowboys selected Florida running back Emmitt Smith with the 17th overall pick.
