IRVING - This will be the last time I'll beat this dying horse; on Tuesday I received an email from a reader who said, according to himself, that he had Timothy Bradley defeating Manny Pacquiao. Easily. What the illegal drug use what?
Now Congress is getting involved. Sen Harry Reid (D- Nev.) wants an inquiry into the fight. Because, generally, when Congress gets involved things happen. Quickly.
On Tuesday after the Dallas Cowboys finished Day 1 of their mini camp, I asked a handful of the players what they thought.
Turns out safety Gerald Sensabaugh had a few players over to watch the fight and hang out. A lot of the guys were watching the fight, but walked out of the room because "The way things were going Bradley was going to get knocked out," Sensabaugh told me.
Most of the guys were outside shooting the bull when the fight ended.
"None of us could believe it. We were like, 'What?!''" defensive end Jason Hatcher said of the decision. "I think the judges need to go to a nursing home. The guy dominated the fight. This was a business decision."
Since the lure of boxing, for a lot of us, is the party atmosphere around paying $60 for the fight, would Sensabaugh buy another fight?
"The only way if I buy it is if my teammates come over and we watch it. If they're not coming over, I don't want to see those guys fight any more," he said. "I do it for the fun, for the party. If I'm at the house by myself, I don't want to watch the fight at all. I'd rather watch MMA."
