Big 12 men's basketball: Kansas makes a parody of parity

BillselfIts football team is a national joke, and its football coach is trying to bully the student newspaper (Yeah! That'll show 'em!), the Kansas men's basketball team remains the Big 12's best every single year. No school in the conference puts such a heavy emphasis on hoops despite the national trend of football, football, football.

For the 11th time in conference history, Kansas has received a share of the preseason votes by the conference's basketball coaches to win the conference title. KU lost forward Thomas Robinson and guard Tyshawn Taylor to the NBA from its national runnerup team last season, and still is the best this conference has?

This conference is so top heavy it may tip over. Here is the Big 12 preseason poll:
1. Kansas (9)
2. Baylor (1)
3. Oklahoma State
4. Texas
5. Kansas State
6. West Virginia
7. Oklahoma
8. Iowa State
9. Texas Tech
10. TCU

We have never been a 'basketball confrence' but I think TCU is even worth watching this year. Kansas is the class of our confrence and the nation. TCU is lucky to be in the mix. We will take our shots this year. Just you watch.

Rock Chalk
