BALTIMORE, Maryland - Here in the land of The Wire (BTW - a great thing for local tourism) for Cowboys v. Ravens and it brings to mind the last time the Dallas Cowboys actually won here. It was only about 30 years ago.
The last time the Dallas Cowboys won a game in Baltimore was December 6, 1981 when they defeated the Baltimore Colts, 37-13. Interesting fact: Five days later, Muhammad Ali would fight Trevor Berbick in the final fight of his career.
Back to the game: Tony Dorsett ran for 175 yards on 30 carries and Glenn Carano passed for 51 yards for the Cowboys.
A few years later, Robert Irsay moved his Colts to Indy, and the Cowboys didn't make it up here until 2000.
Not a good sign:
In 2000, the Cowboys were shutout 27-0 when Jamal Lewis ran 28 times for 187 yards.
In 2004, it was Ravens 30, Cowboys 10. That was Drew Henson's "coming out" party when he led a nice drive in garbage time.
Much like the good people of Baltimore, the Cowboys obviously never wanted the Colts to move.
