Nickelodeon is teaming with the NFL to launch an original 30-minute cartoon program for kids, the network announced on Monday. Pretty cool.
It will be 24 episodes that will premiere on Nov. 30 on Nicktoons. According to the release, the show will follow the adventures of a hero - Ishmael - and his friends as they journey to protect the league's 32 teams and the world from a plotting master villain, and maybe potentially a giant white whale as well.
Not on the release - villains may include the U.S. government's anti-trust laws, snitches who rat out their bounty-endorsing coaches, aggressive and accurate steroid/HGH testing, guaranteed player contracts, and an uncapped NFL season.
A reason to watch - all around nice guy Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware will be a featured cartoon charcter in this series. Can think of few stars in the NFL who would better represent this league in a cartoon series for kids than D-Ware.
A reason not to watch - Deion Sanders will also be a part with weekly highlight segments.
Episodes of the show will be available on NFLRush.com after the on-air premiere.
