The NHL's lockout is over and all of the important legal documents have been signed, which means we will have no more work stoppages until the league and or the players opt out of this new 10-year CBA after eight years.
Now we have 48 games between Jan. 19 to April 27. That sounds safe.
The Stars open the 2013 regular season at home on Jan. 19 against the Phoenix Coyotes and will proceed to play five games in eight days. Two of the Stars' first seven games are against the Detroit Red Wings, and three of their first nine games are against the Coyotes.
No insanely long road trips; the Stars will play the Ducks three straight times - April 1, 3 and 5th. The last two are in Anaheim.
There will be no out of conference games, which means you can kill the dream of getting to see the Florida Panthers come to the American Airlines Center.

I love it that nobody comments on the NHL. Who cares about the crappy ol' NHL.
