The beards are growing increasingly longer these days on the faces of the Dallas Mavericks, which means this season is that much closer to draft lottery status.
The Mavs blew a 25-point lead in Memphis on Wednesday night to lose.
It was the fourth-largest blown lead in team history. So they have that going for them, which is nice.
In the third quarter, the team was 2-for-17 with seven turnovers.
On the same night, former Dallas Mavericks center Tyson Chandler had one of those nights you kinda wish maybe the Mavs had re-signed him. Maybe.
In New York City, Chandler scored 16 points with 28 rebounds in a Knicks' win against the Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry dropped 54 on NYC, including 11-of-13 from 3.
While Chandler was grabbing 28 rebounds, the Mavs had 34 rebounds total in Memphis.
Here is what you need to know:
The NBA Draft Lottery is May 21.
The NBA draft is 6 p.m. (CT) on June 27, 2013 in Madison Square Garden in NYC.

A smart team signs a potential NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award winner. Idiots keep their "powder dry".
