Granted, it's the second time VY has had a pro day but who's counting?
VY blew off the media because he didn't want to take away from the real potential UT NFL rookies who were working out in front of NFL scouts and coaches, which included Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It's ironic VY did not want to upstage potential NFL rookies on their day because he needed their day just to have a platform that would guarantee an audience.
As guys like Marquise Goodwin and D.J. Monroe jumped and were measured in the weight room, VY strolled in the UT weight room, checked his phone, and exchanged some hugs with UT coach Mack Brown. I could not tell whether VY returned Mack his set out house keys.
VY actually looks great, and threw the ball both inside the practice bubble and outside. According to one NFL scout "he put on a show". This scout seemed pretty convinced VY will get a shot. He hasn't been in the NFL since the Buffalo Bills released him in training camp last fall. Another NFL scout said it all depends on whether a team think he's learned, and can learn.
Put in me in the skeptical camp.
I've never been a huge fan of his throwing motion, which as you can see from this video taken today has changed very little. The best part of this is watching VY's little 2-year-old son run around and try to help out his dad.
