As much as I hate self promotion, this is a Big Mac Phat thank you to the good people at the University of Texas-Arlington for extending to me not a middle finger but rather an invitation to throw out the first pitch at a Mavericks' baseball player.
Wait ... what?
Sorry. I am scheduled to throw out the first pitch at a UTA Mavericks baseball game.
Mascot, bat boys, consider yourself warned. My preference is not to throw the ball either over, or near, home plate.
At 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 at Clay Gould Park on the UTA campus, the Mavericks will host Dallas Baptist in a college baseball game where I will display a fastball that my 7th grade coach refused to acknowledge because he was jealous of my hair. Even then I had an incredible coif.
The plan is to go old school with the J.R. Richards' leg kick, bring it over the top and straight down Broadway with a little 101 m.p.h. h-e-a-t.
Bring the kids and I'll be sure to have one of my handlers issue you a replica autographed napkin for no more than $5 $25 per pop.
