College Football 1, U.S. Senate 0: Craig James is back

76942.oNext to the arrival of my daughter, nothing will give me greater joy than the following - former Texas senate hopeful Mr. Craig James is returning to TV to call college football games.

This is such a major win for college football fans, it is only a shame that his audience will no longer be national but rather limited to Fox Sports Southwest telecasts. James previously served as an analyst for ESPN.

James will be paired with Erin Hartigan and former Dallas Cowboys great Tony Banks on as a studio analyst for Fox Sports Southwest. As much as you may not like this, his return was always on a matter of when not if. Few college football announcers have annoyed the masses at any greater frequency than Mr. Craig James.

To have him back is bittersweet - it's a major score for college football fans who need a reason to throw something at their TV, but a crushing loss to the 10 Texan who wanted to see him represent this great state in Congress.

Ha! Ain't that the truth.

But, seriously, fans should bombard ESPN with complaints about someone like him being put on the air. All he has really done is cheat in college, and use the power ESPN gave him to ruin a college program by being an immature helicopter dad.

Joe

Yeah... ESPN Sucks now.

I did not care for James' broadcasts in the past and certainly find him more annoying than before so I for one will not listen to him. He's way too full of himself, SMU and his opinions. I would have thought the cable networks would have been relieved to see the ill-fated campaign to get rid of James forever.

Someone should tell Craig if the sportscasting doesn't work out, he can always become a lobbyist...or perhaps a salesman. I hear the local Porta Potty firm needs a good man. Are you listening, Mr. James?

He's the most pathetic figure in college football. I don't wish him ill will or anything. But this guy ruined 2 college football programs (SMU and Texas Tech) and he has the gall to be on TV announcing college games? He's still delusional. I thought the politics would help him, but he needs meds now.
