Dallas Stars to display Olympic medals

The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi are over, which means Johnny Weir will return to his carbo-freezing chamber until he is unlocked for the 2018 games.

OLY_HKN_CANADA_UNITED_STATES_20140221_30641387The Dallas Stars and the NHL return to the playoff push, and will host the hated Carolina Hurricane at 7:30 on Feb. 27 at Monopoly Airlines Arena.

Two members of the team won medals at the Olympics - center Jamie Benn (gold for the hated Canadians) and goalie Kari Lehtonen (bronze to the adorable Finns).

If you are going to the game, bring your camera - i.e. your phone.

The team plans to display Benn and Lehtonen's respective trophies near section 113 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. prior to the game on Thursday. Fans can stand next to the display and take a photo, and live the dream of knowing what it is like to be in the presence of Olympic medals.

It will be really something when the team can once again display winning hardware of their own, but for the time being we will take gold, or bronze.
